GeoHab (Marine Geological and Biological Mapping) has brought together scientists working on marine geological and biological mapping since 2001. The year 2011 will be the 10th anniversary of GeoHab and will be celebrated in Helsinki, Finland. The main focus of the conference is: Development of New Methodologies to Map the Marine Environment in Support of Sustainable Ocean Management. The scientific themes of GEOHAB 2011 will include: Habitat mapping of shallow seas,Scale and variability in habitat distribution and diversity,Geo-bio interactions, and advances in optical remote sensing of marine habitats.
